P R E S I D E N T M E S S A G E
This is my first communication with you. I feel deeply honoured and humbled to communicate from this prestigious position installed in 1929 by founder President none other than legendary Sir. Dr. Nilratan Sircar. And how can I forget to mention the name of another legendary personality Dr. Panchanan Chatterjee, founder Secretary of MCESA.
They founded the stone and 88 years have passed with excellent performances every year overcoming many obstacles.
We will also follow the same tradition to perform in two ways (Maintenance of heritage & installing something de novo). Details will be carried forward to you through website, bulk sms, email, news letter and last but not the least by personal communication. Hope this will project our flag high.
Long live MATIYA

In this year I have some ideas for development of The Medical College Ex-students’ Association, Calcutta and our Institute. The ideas of our predecessor like Centre of excellence of our college, 2nd campus, Renaming of central metro station with our college, to have our Institute named as Medical College Bengal, will be nourished by me.
I want to expand our socio medical activities as over all development of a village including their roads, education, health and social activities. The Academic committee will involve students’ (both UG & PG) in all aspect. There will be quiz contest involving UG & PG students’ at regular interval with cash prizes.
The website committee will try to have whats app connection with all members and they will also be connected regularly through email. I have an idea to publish a book on Patrons of this year. The Exhibition committee will try to do their best and I shall try to have Exhibition as a midterm event. I shall try to have a flower show during the month of December 2017. There will be many other activities which will be fulfilled only with yours active help, participation and co-operations.
I appeal to all to take part in different events to make them more colourful.
Thank you all
Long Live Matiya
